The week before last Aybelle did a figure skating camp. The Friday before the camp week, the Palmetto Figure Skating Club hired Olympic Silver Medalist Paul Wylie to come for a workshop and he worked with the skaters for several hours. It was a great experience for all of them to talk to a famous skater and someone who was an elite athlete. He was super nice, and a wonderful speaker, he gave a speech to the parents of the skaters at the end and had many great things to say about figure skating, about life and about his Olympic performances.
In the beginning some of the littlest skaters, especially Aybelle did not realize the importance of him being there but at the end of the day she understood and lined up to get his autograph and a photo with Paul.
