Pennsylvania

A few weeks ago we traveled to Pennsylvania to visit my grandmother and parents who live near Altoona, PA. I also got to see my brother Dan and my sister Madeline. My grandmother, aka Nanny, has been ill and has moved from Philadelphia to a nursing home near Altoona.  She is doing pretty well so far, getting stronger and she is moving/walking around more and more each day. Mom and Dad, me and Adam and the kids went to visit her when we got to PA.  It was such a wonderful visit.  The kids got to see Nanny and interact with her and Nanny enjoyed seeing them and me and Adam too.  We took lots of photos and the following day me and Mom went back to see her and to look through old photos of her and mom from the 1950s, 60s etc.  We even came across a photo that we determined to be my great-great grandmother. Nanny's grandmother. I need to scan it into the computer and post it here. 

Hanging out with Pop-pop

I love being up at my parents house, they have a log cabin and 5 acres I think and its just peaceful and cool up there.  

Yes cool as in 60 degree weather!!!  My kids wanted to swim so bad in the pool that they went in and got blue lips within 5 minutes, LOL.  they also got to see their cousin L. and they all played SO great together and just loved on each other all weekend.  L. stayed the entire weekend so my kids had a constant playmate, it was fab!  I love seeing them all play together,  cousin love is wonderful.  

My parents have 5 cats and a dog so it gets kinda "crazy" there, but we all had a relaxing wonderful time.  This is Candy the cat, and Lavender the dog.
