The gulf coast of Florida is exquisite. I knew that there were beaches along the panhandle but I didn’t realize that they had white sand beaches and blue water. Adam had a business trip this weekend and we went with him, he is attending a Native American ceremony called the Green Corn Ceremony. So he went to that while we went to the beach and the pool! I met up with a friend of mine, Candice K., from the cloth diaper sewing days and we spent Friday with her and her two gorgeous boys. We’ve been going to the pool first and then heading to the beach in the late afternoon early evening to avoid the oppessive heat. I thought South Carolina was hot in August, try Florida in June! The heat index today was 107 °F! Adam is due back tomorrow, Father’s Day and we are taking him on a sunset cruise on the Gulf to see dolphins. It should be awesome! The kids will be glad to have daddy back, after not seeing him since Friday morning.
Lots and lots of photos!
{First evening sunset in Sandestin}
{First full day at the beach, crowded!}
{first day with new boogie boards!}
We met up with a friend of mine who lives near Destin and later than evening we went to Seaside, FL to eat dinner and to snap a few pictures of the kids on the gorgeous beach at sunset. She is a photographer too! If you are ever in the area, check out Candice K. Photography. She took a few pics of my kids and hers, but I took these two below.

Captiva Island has some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. Years and years ago I used to vacation there. Glad you had a chance to take the kids :)
Where is Captiva Island?
